Design award to SMX

The North Legion SMX, high end model MERC was awarded as the best new winter sport product at ISPO BrandNew awards on the product launch in Munich in 2006. Now the 2008 MERC model has been evaluated by the Norwegian Design Council who nominated the product for “Honours Award for Design Excellence”.
The award is the highest recognized design award in Norway and has previously been won by the sports giant Helly Hansen, Sweet Protection and Rotefella amongst others. The three nominees this year are Helly Hansen, Rofi and North Legion. The North Legion MERC is a result of a cooperation between North Legion, industrial design by Abry Design (www.abry.no) and graphical design by Dulcinea (www.dulcinea.no). We would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners for putting in blood sweat and tears to achieve the results of the revolutionary new winter sport, SMX…..only to make sure the kids at North Legion have something to play with in the winter time.
